ASU Police and rifle certification

Since the last update, ASU Police has been proactive in getting its Officers Rifle Certified and getting those long guns on the road. This has been very beneficial in which rifles have been or were needed on calls, including clearing different parking structures on campus for threat calls and assisting other agencies.  

In the College atmosphere, we have learned that it is no longer if an active shooter scenario will happen, it is only a matter of when. Our appreciation to ASU PD Firearms Training Unit in boosting the process and providing the training.
 
The Fall semester has come upon us and ASU PD is active in vigorously enforcing alcohol and drug calls, and serving many warrants on the latter. ASU Police is striving to do its best in a weakened economy, just like every other PD is doing.
